Beverly’s Obituary
Wood, Beverly Ann – 81, Oxford. We are saddened to announce the passing of our cherished fun-loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Beverly Ann Wood. Survived by her loving husband of 61 years, David Wood; children, Trudy (Dave) Reid; Brian Wood (Maryanne); Ann (Doug) Patriquin; Julie (Andy) Blake; Janelle (Shaun) Rushton; sister, Dorothy (Russell) Thompson, 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Daniel Patriquin; father, Aylmer Hollis; mother, Marguerite Hollis; brothers, Jack and Ralph Hollis. Bev took great pride in her home and her family. She had a dry sense of humour and is leaving us fond memories full of laughs. She loved spending time in the outdoors, especially at Silica lake camp and her cottage at the beach. She was always up for a road trip, a game of washers and a family gathering of any kind. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Oxford (902-447-2930). At her request there will be a private graveside service for immediate family at Birch Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to VON Cumberland or QEII Foundation Brain Tumour Research Fund.
