Obituary of Betty Green
Betty Green (nee Williams), beloved wife of the late Wallace Alexander Green of Calgary, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the age of 92 years.
Betty was born in Ottawa, Ontario on January 2, 1928.
She moved to Calgary in 1938. Betty married Wallace in 1948.
She was a member of the Highwood Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Betty accomplished much throughout her life and had many positions during her career, including working with AP Grain in Calgary, Stampede Tourism and Accommodation, The University of Calgary Printing Department, and The Calgary Winter Club.
Betty had a passion for walking, traveling, and bird watching. She will be most remembered for her laughter and kindness.
Betty is survived by her sons, Roderick (Lois) and Michael (Ida) Green; grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa) and Ryan; great- grandchildren, Lucy, Imogen, and Callan. Betty is also survived by her brother, Neville (Gerry) Williams of Saskatoon, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Betty was predeceased by her spouse, Wallace Alexander in 1976; parents, Cissie and Alfred Williams; brothers, Eric and Bob Williams; and sisters, Doris Dawson and Edna Bombadieri.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Staywell Manor for their comforting and compassionate care of Betty.
There will be a private family ceremony at a later date.
