Obituary of Betty Darou
Darou, Elizabeth M. “Betty”
Betty passed away peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, December 17th, 2020 at the age of 82. She was the beloved wife of Lindsay Echlin, and the loving mother of Elaine (the late Dave), Doug (Norma), Donnie (Carol), Steven, Helen (Bob) and Charlie (Mandy) and the late Rhonda. Betty leaves behind 11 treasured grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of John (Rose) and Everett and the sister-in-law of Elaine Cameron. She was predeceased by her parents William and Mabel (nee Whyte) Cameron and by her siblings Florence (Norm), Jim (Audrey), Lawson, Bob, Ken and Phyllis (Nelson), and 2 great-grandchildren. Betty will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, a private family service will be held. In memory of Betty, memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 1790 Courtwood Crescent, Ottawa, On K2C 2B5 would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
