Obituary
SLOWE, Betty
Betty Slowe (nee Sedleski), also known as Baba or Aunty Betty, was the best person to share a beer and a laugh with. She was born in Komarno, MB on September 10, 1930 and moved to Winnipeg, where she met the love of her life, Mathew Slowski. They married on September 27, 1953 and eventually moved to Saskatoon. Over the years, Betty raised her three kids to be as honest and independent as she was. Betty was caring and made everyone feel special and well fed (most often with perogies). Some of her favourite things were her grandchildren, her pets, and dedicating her time with the Ladies’ Auxiliary at the Army and Navy Club as a 35 year member. Betty died peacefully on September 6, 2020, days before her 90th birthday. Baba will be greatly missed by her three children: Wayne (Sheila), Cam (Kevin), and Sharon (Dan); and her six grandchildren: Mark (Nadia), Trevor (Lauren), Danyel, Ashley, Savannah, and Cody (Jenna). She is survived by her brother Ernie (Mona) and sister Nancy. Betty will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Thanks to the Extendicare staff and to the many friends and family that helped Betty during her time there. There is currently no celebration of life planned, but Betty will be laid to rest with Matt at a later date. Arrangements in care of Aimé Laventure – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
