Betty’s Obituary
BEDFORD, Betty (nee Carter)
May 1, 1928 – December 7, 2020, Passed away after a brief illness at the Norfolk General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Julie Mae Carter, sisters and brothers: Herb Carter, Harry Carter, Eva Bunce, Ethel Vandercroft, Mildred McCall, Lloy King, and Ruth Yerex. Betty was well know as a dance teacher who had studied in New York prior to opening a teaching studio in Simcoe in the late 40’s for generations of students. After her retirement, she kept her hand in by choreographing dance segments for skating students at the local arena. She is survived by her sons Bart and Brad, daughter-in-law Jill, and her granddaughters Nicole Bedford (Doug) and Danielle Bedford (Chris). She will be greatly missed by many other relatives and friends. Betty was a wonderful person, with a huge heart, lighting up a room as she walked in. As a mother she was everything we could have asked for and more. She was the best grandmother. A smiling and caring friend to all. At Betty’s request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made in her memory to the C.N.I.B. or the Lung Association. Arrangements are entrusted to the FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe (519-426-1314) Online condolences may be made at www.ferrisfuneral.com
