Obituary of Betty Lou Spidle
Spidle, Betty Lou (Jefferson) – age 79, Kentville formerly of Bridgetown, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2020 in Orchard Court Shannex, Kentville. She was born December 16, 1940 to the late Arthur and Marion (Sollows) Jefferson. Betty Lou spent many years with The Continental Kitchen in Bridgetown. Other employment included the MacDonald Museum in Middleton, Sears in Bridgetown, and in her later years, Tim Horton’s in Bridgetown. Betty Lou loved crossword puzzles, knitting, a good game of cards and helping others around her. She is survived by sons Kevin (Cynthia) Spidle, St. John, NB; Steven (Amanda) Spidle, Bridgetown; Daughter, Cindy Hutchinson, Stratford, PE; Grandchildren Matthew and Koady Spidle, Gillian (Nick White), Nicole and Jacob Hutchinson, Sabrina (Liam) Bridge, Colton, Donovan, Rylee, Kaydence, Emmett, and Lily Spidle. She was predeceased by parents and brother “Bub”, Sisters Norma King and Hazel Medicraft, and Grandson Alexander Hutchinson. Following Betty Lou’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Due to Covid 19 restrictions there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown at a later date.
