Betty Louise Melnyk (nee Gladson) was born December 14, 1957 in Russell, MB.
Betty received her elementary and high school education in Russell. She studied early childhood education at Assiniboine Community College in Dauphin.
Betty loved animals, especially eagles, gardening, sewing, baking and was known for her cinnamon rolls. Betty enjoyed Bingo and playing games on her tablet. Betty cheered on the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Canadian National Junior Ice Hockey Team.
Betty loved her grandchildren and having family and friends visit. The door was always open, and the coffee was always on.
Betty was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Lillian Gladson, daughter Ashley Melnyk, son Quinton Melnyk, and brother Douglas Gladson. She leaves to mourn her passing her loving life-partner Leslie Romansky of Dauphin, daughters Shauna Melnyk of Esterhazy, Kristine Graham of Yorkton, step-children Misty Patchaluk (Cory Davidson) of Dauphin, David Romansky (Tyre Ferland) of Dauphin, grandchildren; Shanelle and Colby Melnyk of Yorkton, step-grandchildren Michael Patchaluk, Joseph Davidson, Milena Romansky, Mckyla Romansky, Cashius Romansky as well as numerous “adopted” children and grandchildren. Betty also leaves behind her “fur babies” Coopie and Tine Tine.
