At the H J McFarland Memorial Home on Wednesday August 5, 2020, Bessie May Taylor (nee Harte) passed away 1 month before her 97th birthday.
Beloved wife of the late Kenn Taylor and much loved mother of Maureen and her partner Richard Brock and Susan Ruthven (late Tony) all of Picton, David and his wife Cate of St. Mary’s, Gail and her husband Ken Tuttle of Cherry Valley, Dale and his wife Monica of Calgary, Marilyn Taylor of Picton and Robin and her husband Jerry Ferguson of Milford. Remembered by her 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers George and Harold (Grace) Harte of Mississauga.
Heartfelt thank you to staff of McFarland Home who always treated Mom as one of the family. Bessie was a cherished 76 year member and Past District Deputy Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and active with Rebekahs.
A family graveside service will take place in Cherry Valley Cemetery with the Reverend Audrey Whitney officiating. A celebration of Bessie’s life will take place at a later date to be announced.
Memorial donations to Camp Trillium-OuR Island, the H J McFarland Resident’s Council or South Bay United Church would be appreciated.
