Obituary of Beryl Elaine Chipman
CHIPMAN, Beryl Elaine (Demings)
Of Hants Border, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2020, at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Beryl was born May 10, 1927 in Springhill and was a daughter of the late Guy and Harriet (Stonehouse) Demings.
She is survived by daughters, Lee Chipman, Hants Border and Janet (Don) Cook, New Minas; grandchildren, Tara Connors (Lee Thorne), Hants Border; Sandy Cook (Rory Cantwell), St. Margaret’s Bay; Steve (Katie) Cook, Chester; Heather Cook (Jonny Rolin), Halifax; and Janice Chipman (Chad Mahoney), Falmouth; as well as her great-grandchildren, Eden Dykens (Dan Booth), Irelynn Bennett, Rosalie, Oscar and Marlowe Cantwell; Lola and Otis Cook and brother, Alton Demings, New Minas.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter and daughter, Lynn; brothers, Ronald, in infancy; Carl and Fraser and her sisters, Dorothy Porter, Evelyn Walsh and Shirley Starratt.
We would like to thank the staff on Unit 200 at Hants Community Hospital for all the attention and kindness they gave to Mom.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be a private interment service held at a later date. Donations in memory of Beryl may be made to Victorian Order of Nurses, Annapolis Valley Branch, 9319 Commercial St., New Minas, NS B4N 3G2.
