Bertram Edgar Haines
Passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home of Kelligrews in his 85th year. Bert was a long time member of Brothers of CLB Old Comrades, Masonic Lodge, Shriners and brothers & sisters of Prince of Orange Lodge who he was affiliated with for his lifetime. Predeceased by his parents: Lillian & Harry, three bothers: Harry, Shirl (Carol), Bill, three sisters: Enid, Mabel, Melba, nephew: Bobby, mother & father-in-law: Annie Jane &Isaac Dawe, brother & sister-in-law: Leslie &Frances Dawe. Leaving to mourn with cherished and loving memories his wife of 63 years, Jean, sons: Wilfred (Shirley), Jeffrey (Cathy), Christopher (Gladys), Gary (Ginger), daughter: Jean (Wayne Mercer), 11 treasured grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sisters: Jane (Melvin Sears), Inez (Ron Walsh), brothers: Cecil, George, Leonard, Lawrence and Lloyd. Also a large circle of other family and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Monday from 7 pm – 9 pm, Tuesday from 2 pm – 4 pm & 7 pm – 9 pm. Funeral Service will take place from All Saints Anglican Church, Foxtrap on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 11 am. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, Foxtrap. No flowers by request, donations in Bert’s memory may be made to All Saints Church Restoration Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
