Obituary
BERT KENNETH BYERS, beloved companion of Mari, of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at the age of 47 years.
Bert is the loving stepfather to Erica of Lethbridge and step-grandfather to Sage and Aries. He is also survived by four sisters: Patricia (Lawrence) Richardson of Lethbridge, Edith Kish of Lethbridge, Helen Byers of Brooks, and Rosemary of Leslieville; three brothers: Myrl (Cindy) of Rocky Mountain House, Doug (Michelle) of Wasa, BC and Edward (Pam) of Calgary; numerous Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews and his best friend: Colin Meier.
Bert was predeceased by his brother Daryll in 1961, his sister Ruth in 1994, his father Albert in 1987 and his mother Yvonne in 1994.
Bert was born on October 12, 1972 in Patricia, AB. He went to school in Duchess and Brooks. His nickname was “The Streaker.” He enjoyed working on vehicles and the Patricia Rodeo. He was a simple man, a man of few words. He worked in the oilfields for 18 years before moving to Lethbridge in 2012. He was a hard working Jack of all trades, an awesome uncle, brother and friend.
Bert will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was big-hearted and was always willing to lend a hand.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
