Obituary of Bernice Leona Gray
89, Halifax, formerly of Terence Bay, NS, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, NS. Born in Terence Bay, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Myrtle Smith (Jollimore). Bernice was a loving lady who treasured her family. She is survived by sons, John (Wanda), Kevin (Jean), and Raymond, daughters, Marjorie O’Sullivan (Rick), Jerry Osborne (Brian), Judy Volans (David) and Cathy Gage, daughter-in-law, Linda, and sisters, Florence Harrison and Myrna Hudder (Joe). Affectionately known as Nanny, she is survived by numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Gerald, son, Mike, grandsons, Scott and Matthew, sister, Jessie Umlah and brother, Willie Jollimore.
Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., where a private family funeral service will be held. A celebration of Bernice’s life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 1-4 PM at 419 Kearney Lake Road. Interment will take place on Friday, July 24, 2020 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Terence Bay, NS.
