Peacefully on August 27, 2020 in her 91st year with family at her side. Reunited with her husband John Peter Lapos (2010). Loving mother of Mary Chick (Steven), John Lapos, Dan Lapos (Traci). Cherished grandmother of Jacqueline, Natalie (Adam), Christina, Julia, Allysha (Zachary), Sierra and proud great grandmother of Kaden, KJ, Gregory and Atlas. Dear sister of the late Mary Rocheleau (late Alec), Madeleine Drome (late Peter), Albert Beneteau, Bernice Deslippe (Lloyd). Predeceased by her in-laws James Lapos (Helen), Stephen Lapos, Rosemary Doyon (Raymond) and William Lapos. Mom had a passion for lifelong learning, first graduating from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in 1952. She was an anesthetist in Michigan for several years, retiring at the age of 73. Family and her profession were paramount. She was a past owner of Lakeside Village, Wheatley retiring to the Meadows of Wheatley, where she socialized with many friends. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Sunday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Michael’s Church 29 Elliott Street, Leamington on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 10 a.m please arrive at 9:30. Cremation to follow. Due to COVID restrictions, Visitation and Mass are limited to a specific number of visitors at a time. Only those with an appointment will be allowed in. Please book an appointment online at www.reidfuneralhome.ca to secure a designated time to pay your respects. ALL visitors must remain in their cars in our parking lot until their designated time and one of our staff members comes to invite you into our facility. EVERYONE must wear a mask at Visitation and Mass. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Michael’s Parish Building Fund.
