It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bentley Pierre Lillis, 57, of Mason’s Beach Rd., First South, announce his passing on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater after a brief illness, with his family at his side.
Born in Lunenburg on June 27, 1963, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Pauline (Langille) Lillis.
Bentley’s early years were spent in Toronto, working at Canpar as a Hub Supervisor. In 2002 he returned to Lunenburg and settled down with the “Love of his Life” Katherine. Until recently he was employed with Stelia North America as Team Leader.
Bentley is survived by his loving partner, Katherine, step-sons, Stephen Ranger (Kayla) David Zinck (Jennie), grand-daughter, Lily Ranger, mother-in-law, Mavis Ranger, Mississauga; sister, Colette (Brenton Wagner); Stonehurst North; brothers, Colin (Heather) Bridgewater, Berkley (April), Second Peninsula; nephew, Odin and favourite aunt, Jean Knickle, Northwest, numerous cousins and extended family. Brother-in-law, Khristopher Ranger, Toronto; sister-in-law, Kim Leslie, Pefferlaw, Ontario. Special friends, Maureen MacKenna, Kevin Ernst and Quentin Mason.
Predeceased by his father-in-law, John Ranger and faithful companion, Hera.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. #3, Lunenburg and where a service for immediate family will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Rick Pryce, officiating. Interment will follow at 2:45 p.m. for all of Bentley’s friends welcomed to attend at the Second Peninsula Cemetery. Second Peninsula.
