Dieppe, NB – Benoit Ouellet, 69, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, on Thursday, June 18, 2020, after a short courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Edmundston, NB, he was the son of the late Maurice and the late Corinne Ouellet (born Levesque).
Benoit will be sadly missed by his wife, Diane Ouellet (born Gallant); his children, Pascale Ouellet of Moncton, Michel Ouellet (Carole Richard) of Moncton and Tania Ouellet Johnson (David) of Dieppe; his grandchildren, Eric, Lucas and Alec; his siblings, James (Danielle) of Bath, ON, Charles (Noreen Bérubé) of Moncton, Jocelyne Rossignol (Gilles) of Montréal, QC, Maryse Couturier (Roger) of Edmundston and Claire Collette (Raymond) of Dieppe; his uncle, Paul Levesque of Madawaska, Maine; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel (625 Mountain Rd, Moncton), on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 9 am to 10:30 am. Funeral service will be held after at the St-Anselme RC Church in Dieppe at 11 am. Burial will take place at Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, on the same day at 3:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
Benoit was a sociable man, he was involved in his parish and was a Knights of Columbus, 4th degree. He was passionate about muscle cars and motorcycles, but most importantly, was his family, whom he loved very much.
