Obituary of Beatrice Callahan
Katherine “Beatrice” Callahan, age 93, passed away peacefully at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton February 22, 2020.
Former long-time resident of Teeswater.
Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Callahan, who predeceased her on August 17, 1992.
Dear mother of Elizabeth (Bob) McGinnis, Pat (Jim) Schauber, Tom Callahan, and Mary Ellen (Nino) Amaral. Predeceased by son Tim Callahan on July 2, 2016.
Also predeceased by her parents Herb and Sarah (née O’Rawe) Wallis of Alvinston.
Missed by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Bea relished her career as a Registered Nurse, having worked in London, Sarnia and Wingham.
She enjoyed her family, friendships, summer holidays at Ipperwash, Ski-dooing, a good hand of Bridge and traveling.
Sincere gratitude for the excellent care she received from the medical staff at Brucelea Haven.
Visitation will be at Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater, on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 11:00 to 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Teeswater at 1:00 p.m.
Reception to follow at Sacred Heart Church Hall.
Spring Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or Teeswater Sacred Heart CWL, would be appreciated by the family. Or why not just take a friend to lunch – tell them the things we often think of, only after someone is gone.
