Barry’s Obituary
Due to Covid-19 a Private Family Service will be held.
Barry Walter Jordan was born September 10, 1940, to Walter and Doreen Jordan in Dodsland, Saskatchewan. Barry grew up, along with his brother Bryan (Bob) Jordan, in the Smeaton area.
In his younger years, Barry worked as an elevator agent in Semans, Peesane, Veillardville, Clashmoore and Mistatim.
Barry married Karen Beryl Burnett on April 21, 1973, and they started their married live together in Pleasantdale, Saskatchewan where they operated the Pleasantdale Hotel and raised three children.
In addition to having the Hotel, Barry worked over the years in the gravel hauling business, in road construction, and diamond exploration. He ended his career hauling grain and enjoyed visiting with farmers all over the country.
Barry’s biggest joy was his family, particularly his grandchildren, and during his retirement he enjoyed visiting with friends, fishing and gardening.
Barry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Karen, his children Terry (Kim), Darren (Angela), and Kara-Dawn (Colin) and his grandchildren, Weston and Griffin Jordan and Ava and Ali Fredin.
Barry is also survived by his brother, Bob, and his nephew Timothy Jordan. He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Doreen.
