It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Leslie Barker of Beaumont, AB at the age of 89 years.
Allan is lovingly remembered by his wife Marion, son Duane Barker (Darlene) and daughter Donna Barker. He also leaves to mourn his loss his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Ryan & Kiona Barker, Todd & Tamara Barker (Sarah), Cayla & Dennis Taekema (Quinn, Konrad, Avery) and Ben Savage. Allan is survived by his brother Everett Barker (Della) and sister Marilyn Farley (Don). Allan was predeceased by his parents and a sister. Allan will also be fondly remembered by numerous relatives and friends. His memory will live on in all the stories he told about farming, camping, fishing and working in the oilfield.
A Celebration of Allan’s Life will be held at a later date. In honor of his memory, donations can be made to the Canadian Energy Museum Leduc #1 “Buy a Bolt” campaign to rebuild the original #1 derrick, or a charity of your choice.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about Allan’s passing. I’m trying to reach Marion Barker. I have no phone number only an address that she gave me but it’s missing an apt # and I have no other way of getting in contact with her.
