Obituary
– It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of W. Barbara (Rossley) Lamont which occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Saturday, July 4th, 2020. Born 1934, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Mary (Bieilli) Rossley. In her earlier years, Barb worked as a Telephone Operator. She later became Manager of the Fundy Line Motel for several years before retirement.
Barb is survived by her sons Thomas Lamont (Sherry) of Saint John, Ricky and Donald Lamont of Saint John; daughters Nancy McCormick (Robert) of Salt Springs, Debbie Lamont of Saint John, Pam Joncas (Morris) of Hampton; brother Victor Rossley (Johanne) of Dartmouth, NS; sister Mary Scott of Kitchener, Waterloo; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Barb was predeceased by her husband Eric “Red”, brothers Bobby, Donnie and Jack and sisters Betty, Lois and Joan.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday, July 7th from 4 to 6 p.m. Due to Covid restrictions, a private Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Wednesday, July 8th for invited guests. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Barb may be made to Rocmaura Nursing Home or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
