Barbara Irene Petten
Our mother has gone to be with
her Lord and Saviour after a long and courageous battle. Barbara I.
Petten, 84, of Moncton Residence and formerly of MacAleese Lane,
Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday,
September 20, 2020.
Born in Toronto, ON, she was
the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Rodda)
Stiles.
Barb was retired from Sears
Canada, Champlain Place. She was a member of Moncton First Church of
the Nazarene, The First Church of the Nazarene Silver Threads Seniors
Group, Wesleyan Church Golden Years Fellowship and the Riverview
Baptist Church Goldenaires Seniors Group. In her younger years, she
enjoyed dancing, bowling and play cards – “Wizard”
– with her friends up until her illness. First and foremost was
spending quality time with her family.
Barb will be sadly missed by
her sons, Dale Petten (Jacquie) of Langley, BC and Robert
“Bob” Petten (Cindy) of Moncton; grandchildren, Aaron and
Kristina Petten; brother, Jack Stiles (Bev) of Calgary, AB; several
nieces, nephews and extended family members and best friends, Barbara
MacDonald and Mabel Lahey.
In addition to her parents,
she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Petten (1987); grandson,
Joshua Petten (November 2019); sister, Thelma (late George);
sister-in-law, Maureen Petten and brother-in-law, Wilf
Petten.
The family would like to thank
John and Sharon Goobie for all their assistance over the
years.

Visitation at Fergusons
Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from
2:00 to 4:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Barb’s
life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Friday,
September 25, 2020 at 11:00 am with Rev. Patti Rossiter leading the
service. Social Distancing restrictions must be observed and the
wearing of a mask is strongly encouraged by the family while in the
Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. To
