Obituary of Bancroft Anthony Wright
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Bancroft Wright on December 11, 2020. Loving father of Brianna, Brooklynn, Candice and Courtney and lovingly remembered by his wife Tricia (Geysens) Wright. Devoted son of Madge and Keith. Bancroft will always be remembered as a loving, yet big tower of strength to his 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Bancroft was always a supportive father to his four beautiful girls and he never hesitated when it came time to coach their teams or drive them to their games in and outside of Canada. A man of many lessons and true to his belief in policing, he would always say to us, “You break the law, I will pick you up!” There is no doubt that he was truly a man of principle. He united our family with his voice of reason and never hesitated to support his family and friends.
Bancroft was a Constable with the Peel Regional Police for almost 20 years which was a lifelong dream of his. Recently, he was able to blend his love of communications with his work on the police force as a Media Officer where his distinctive voice captivated listeners on CP24 where he reported meticulously and effortlessly on community events.
Bancroft will be greatly missed by all of his family and extended family around the world, nieces, nephews, colleagues, friends and the policing community. “It’s hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember.”
