Aurele Girard
1932-2020
Aurele Girard of Riverview, NB passed away peacefully Monday,
April 20, 2020 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Ottawa, he was the son
of the late Albert and Isabelle (Couvillon) Girard.
Aurele took great pride in serving his country with the RCAF
from 1951-1956. He retired from Lafarge Canada in 1995 with over 26
years service. Aurele had a variety of interests from aircrafts,
woodworking to country music, however he was passionate about history
in particular the civil war.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 52 years,
Katherine (Mize) Girard, daughter Nancy Gross (Mike), sons; Mike
(Susan), Bob (Jennifer), Andre and Raymond, sisters; Franny Moreau,
Ferne Thomson (George) and Bernadette Bohn (Bob), grandsons; Brian,
Dylan, Joshua, Logan, Scott, Thomas and Adam, and a great grandson,
Rowan as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he
was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will take place at a later date. The
arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and
Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, NB (506) 869-2007.
