1929-2020
Audrey Lorraine Merrill, 91, of Monarch Hall, Riverview
passed away on September 28th,2020 at her residence with her loving
family by her side.
Audrey was born on April 19th, 1929 in Newcastle Creek, NB,
the daughter of the late Russell and May (Milton)
Fullerton.
Audrey worked for CNR until her retirement. She
loved socializing with her family and friends. She
enjoyed having a game of cards and playing shuffleboard.
She was known for her knitting and took pride in making many
items such as mittens, hats, sweaters, and scarfs over the
years. She loved to have fun and had a contagious
laugh. Audrey had some health issues but never let them get
her down. She was determined and was a very strong role
model for all who knew her. She was an amazing mom and
grandmother whose family was her life. She wouldn’t want you
to be sad or worry but remember the good times you shared.
” I am at peace, my soul’s at rest, there is no need for
tears. For with your love I was so blessed all those
many years.”
She will be deeply missed by her twins, May Smith of
Riverview and Robert Merrill (Delores) of Victoria, BC ; son-in-law,
Allan Jones of Waterford, NB; her four cherished grandchildren, Kelly
Jones (Eric), Emily LeBlanc (Dave), Robbie Merrill and Carey Merrill
and by her precious 10 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Brown of
Moncton; brother, Terry Fullerton (Betty) of Riverview;
sisters-in-law, Jean Fullerton of Trail, BC and Linda Fullerton of
Dieppe. She will also be missed by several special
nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved
daughter, June Jones; sisters, Jean, Mildred, Carol, Greta and Freda;
brothers, Gerald and Gerard.
Honouring Audrey’s own wishes there will be no
visitation. A graveside service will be held in the Grey’s
Island Cemetery, Hillsborough,NB on Sunday, October 4th, 2020 at
1:00pm, all are welcome to attend.
Donations to the Victoria’s Quilts Canada- they provide
homemade quilts to cancer patients (c/o Helen Wood, 10 Lynwood Drive
Moncton, NB, E1A-3Z5) or charity of the donor’s choice would be
greatly appreciated.
