Born to Lithuanian parents Irena and George in St. Thomas Ontario and raised in Rodney Ontario; Audra peacefully leaves her beloved husband Ray, sister Regina (Bob), sister Alma, brothers Don (Merle), Ed (Betty), nephews Grant (Carrie-Anne), Taylor (Jen), Luke, Daniel and Somner, nieces Daria and Laurel and grandnephews Connor and Bennett.
On Ray’s side of the family, Audra was a wonderful sister in-law, friend and co-conspirator to Kate, Rick, David, Chantal, Jackie and Rob, Brenda and Scamp and a dear and loving aunt to Philip (Megan), Brittany (Cody), Beth (John), Allison (Devon), Raymond, Edward, Olivia, Kennedy, Clara, Sutton and Ella.
Audra had many American cousins of which she loved dearly and corresponded
with often, most notably, Peter Burkauskas and Peter’s wife Carol. She was a towering influence to all of their children and spouses including Chris and Anne, Jeremy and Lisa and Jaclyn and Jarod.
Audra created a joyful atmosphere wherever she went, possessed a delightful sense of humour and was a true and loyal friend to so many the list is innumerable. Audra lived and worked in Toronto all of her adult life in various business capacities. She was successful in everything that she pursued in her short but amazingly rich life.
Funeral arrangements for family-only due to COVID restrictions will take place at Resurrection Parish in Toronto. Audra will be interred at Christ Church St. James Memorial Gardens and Cemetery at 329 Royal York Road, Toronto.
Audra and Ray’s family wish to express their thanks and gratitude to all the excellent doctors, nurses and staff at Mount Sinai Hospital Toronto including Dr. Melissa Nutik, Dr. Ronald Burkes and Dr. Toor and the entire Oncology Nursing staff and particularly Nurse Ann Pakulis. Audra and Ray’s family would also like to acknowledge the considerate transitional care and support received at Kingston General Hospital including Dr.’s Peloso, Durafourt and Lee. Donations in Audra’s honour can be made to the Sinai Health Foundation.
