Aubrey Pettis 2020

Aubrey Stewart Pettis
North Sydney
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Aubrey Stewart Pettis, age 77, on Monday, February 10, 2020, at the Halifax Infirmary, with his loving partner Judy by his side.
Born in North Sydney on March 24, 1942, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Hardy) Pettis.
Aubrey worked on the Great Lake Boats in his younger years. He also worked at the slip in North Sydney, and the Yacht Club.
The summertime would find Aubrey camping, sitting around a fire, having a few beers, and telling a few stories. He had a wonderful sense of humour, and was always good for a laugh. He always enjoyed a cup of Tim’s coffee with his friends, of whom he had many.
Aubrey is survived by his loving soulmate of 22 years, Judy Donato, his children Tina, Aubrey and Troy, grandchildren Katilin, Haley, Vanessa, Justin and MacKenzie, all from Ontario, his brother Kelvin (Jean), Moncton, his sister Ead (Ted), Sydney Mines, several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Aubrey was predeceased by a sister Mary in infancy.
My heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of the CCU at the Halifax Infirmary. You are all Angels with unseen wings. Thank you.
At his request, cremation has taken place. There will be no wake or funeral. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
