Obituary
The late Astrid A (Adams) Jowett R.N., widow of the late Dr. Chris Jowett of Taplow, England passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020 at the age of 70.
Born in Woodstock, NB, she was the daughter of the late Davis and Margaret (Gustavsen) Adams.
A graduate of Chatham High in 1967, she later went into nursing at the Saint John School of Nursing and also St. Thomas Hospital in London England studying Midwifery. She worked at the Canadian Red Cross Hospital.
She enjoyed her back yard flowers and birds. The Miramichi and Eastern Canada meant a lot to her and she would come home for visits frequently.
Astrid is survived by her three sons: Stephen (Vicki), David and Michael all of England; her sister Christine of Miramichi; three brothers: Brandt (Donna), Allen and John (Sandy) all of Miramichi; one Aunt, Betty Lordly of Halifax; brother-in-law, Andy (Shannon) Jowett and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Astrid was predeceased by her husband Chris in 2017 and her parents.
A memorial service will be held in England with the burial to take place in New Brunswick at a later date.
