Passed away in Montreal, Qc on February 2, 2020. Beloved son of Rev. H.K. Ashdown and Violet Catherine Stevenson of Montreal. Loving father to Heather, Laurie, Kenneth, and Lynne. Grandfather to Erik, Hanna, and Dylan.
Keeper of lists, friend of stray animals, aviation enthusiast, and line dancer, “Dave” was a dedicated teacher, skilled mechanic, and all-around DIY handyman who was still climbing two-storey ladders to patch the roof well into his later years. It often seemed the only thing he could not fix was a broken heart. Now more than ever we wish he were still here to try.
Visitation at Voluntas Commemoration, 4695 St-Jean Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc, H9H 2A7, on Friday, February 7 from 10-11 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m.
