Dad passed away peacefully at Garden Terrace, Kanata on April 22, 2020 in his 86th year due to congestive heart failure. Son of the late Mervyn and Beatrice Strong. Predeceased by the love of his life of 55 years, Cathy (nee Gorman) in 2012 and his son Terry (Monique) in 2019. Cherished Dad of Danny (Sue), Debbie Renwick (Rob Williams), Peter (Jodi) and Donna Carroll (John). Proud Gran”Pa” of 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Gordie (Sandra), Bryan, Bob (Bernice) and Anne Brown. Predeceased by Vivian Cavanagh (Stuart) and Donnie. Brother-in-law of Mike Gorman (Lila) and (the late Doris), Rose Bourguignon (Bob), Marion Garland (Jim), Phyllis (the late Ray), Jeannine (Peter Boddy)(the late Pat), the late Marguerite, Gerry (Gloria), Madeline Kelly (Joe), Teresa Quinn (Ralph) and Leo (Yolande).
Dad lived a full life and had no complaints. He worked hard with some of his fondest memories being maple syrup time, sleigh rides and family reunions at the farm. Dad and Mom enjoyed their retirement years with their camping friends and music jamborees.
A celebration of Dad’s life will be celebrated at a later date.
