Antonio Diniz
1945-2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Antonio Diniz
announce his passing on Sunday, November 15, 2020 as the result of a
stroke. Loving husband of fifty one years to Emilia. Loving father to
Christina and her husband Flavio, and Sonia. Cherished Avô
to Anthony and Alyssa. He will be missed by his siblings, in-laws,
cousins, nieces, nephews and friends in Canada, United States and
Portugal. Antonio loved sharing stories about working throughout
Ontario installing gas pipelines with Coolsaet, BFC, and Aecon. He was
also fond of telling jokes and sharing a glass of wine with family and
friends.
Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge,
where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 18,
2020 from 5-9p.m.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, space
is limited, so all guests and family members must call the funeral
home in advance at 519-740-0669 to reserve their 30-minute time block
during which they may attend the
visitation.
Private Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Roman
Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Parklawn
Cemetery.
With regards to the visitation, it will be from
5-9p.m., which is open for all to join. Please
keep in mind that it will be a walk through, there will be no hugging
and kissing at all, due to Covid19.
Again, we wish things were different and deeply appreciate all the
love and support that has been given by our community, however we will
very much appreciate your cooperation at this very difficult
time.
In accordance with current Covid-19 Provincial,
Federal and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario regulations, special
arrangements have been made to accommodate the safety and convenience
of everyone. Access to the facility will be controlled and all
visitors will be required to wear a mask, to provide the funeral home
personnel with their name and telephone number upon arrival, and to
observe physical distancing measures while on the
premises.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke
Foundation in Antonio’s memory would be appreciated by the
family.
