Obituary for Anthony ‘Tony Marone’ Kicknosway
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Anthony ‘Tony Marone’ Kicknosway, a member of Walpole Island First Nation on October 29, 2020 at the age of 63. Son of the late James Sr. and Nellievena (nee Day) Kicknosway.Toni will be remembered by his children Thuraya (Sonny), Cheyanna, Jerica (Ben) and step-son Timothy. Dear grandfather of Joycia, Jaycie, Douglas, Alex-James & (Baby Daniel), Frederick Jr, Kayden, Mitchell, Leia, Isabella, Yanna, Cassidy, Emmitt, & Chevner. Brother of Vincent “Vinny” (Elaine), Everett (Gloria) and the late; James II “Jamie”, Elisabeth “Putt”, Gardner Kicknosway and Scott Sands. Family and friends will always remember Tony’s love of music especially his singing and dancing. He will also be remembered for the many years he acted as a guide with the St. Clair Flats Hunting Club. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 6:00pm until 7:30pm. Visitation will also be held at the Walpole Island Sports Complex Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 10:00am until the time of his family funeral at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
