ZAWYRUCHA, Annie (nee Gulka)
December 19, 1922 – September 12, 2020
“A mother holds her children’s hands for a while…their hearts forever.”
Annie was received into Eternal Life and into the arms of her loving husband of 60 years, Metro (April 2001), on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at the age of 97. Loving and caring Mother of three daughters: Sylvia of Kye Bay, B.C.; Sally (James McGuire) of Windsor; and Linda (Edward Zieba) of Tecumseh. Cherished Grandma to nine grandchildren: Leona, Kathy (George Freeborn), Heather (Christopher Powell), Michael (Allison), Mark, Joel (Kaitie Reaume), Ashley (Andrew Walsh), Jeff and Courtney. Special Great Grandma-Annie, to Hailey, Willem, Tyler, and Dylan. Annie was a past member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League, Vesalka Seniors Group of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Catholic Church, and Zolota Zhoda Ukrainian Seniors Group. She so enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to bake and cook for them. A very special thank you to the staff at Chartwell Royal Oak in Kingsville, for their exceptional and loving care given to our Mom. Now she can join the party with all of our family and friends who have gone before her. Due to COVID-19, a private family service will be held.
