Anne Solomonides 2020

Obituary of Anne Solomonides
Peacefully on Monday, November 30, 2020, Anne Solomonides, passed away at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Loving mother of Faye Ladouceur (John) and Mark Solomonides (Grace Choy) and cherished Nana to Kimberlee (Phillip Gould), Nicholas, Brayden, and Arianna. Anne was born in Wales and was immensely proud of her Welsh heritage. Anne was predeceased by her brothers and sisters from Wales and England. Anne is survived by many niece’s, nephew’s, cousin’s, and other family members across the pond. Anne was an active member of St Bartholomew’s United Church in Brampton, prior to her move to Orillia in 2019. She was a believer in giving back to her community and she did that with different volunteer organizations throughout her life. Anne retired from Scotiabank after a career in various departments and most recently Human Resources.
What people will remember most about Anne is her smile, kindness, and that she was a true lady. Anne will be missed by her family and friends, but her legacy will live on in her children, grandchildren, and all those she touched. Cremation has taken place along with a private family viewing.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Bartholomew’s United Church in Brampton or to your local animal shelter or SickKids Foundation. These charities were near and dear to her heart.
