Anna Vera
Theresa “Pat” (Prendergast) Ritchie, age 94, passed
away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in Wolfville Nursing Home,
Wolfville. Born in South Tetagouche, Bathurst, NB she was a daughter
of the late Everett and Theresa (Ellis) Prendergast. Pat owned and
managed a health food store, for 16 years prior to retiring. She was
also a former volunteer at Fidelis House. Pat is survived by her
children, Ronald “Wayne” (Lois) Ritchie, Eastern Passage;
and Connie (Allan) Young, Calgary, AB; brother, Ellis (Hazel)
Prendergast, Ste. Marie, ON; grandchildren, Kristan (Sean) Boland and
Bruce Young; and great grandchildren, Melissa and Loran Boland and
Ethan and Christian Young. In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her brother, Leonard Prendergast and sister, Beatrice
Allan. Pat’s wishes were to be cremated and an interment
will take place in Holy Family Cemetery, Bathurst, NB at a later date.
Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional
Hospital or the Victorian Order of Nurses – Annapolis
Valley. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
