Ann Mather
1957-2019
It is with great sadness that the Mather family
announces that on the evening of Sunday, December
29th, 2019, Ann (Clark) Mather earned her wings
after her sudden passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital, at the
age of 62. Ann was born on April 27th, 1957,
the daughter of Margaret (Wood) Clark of Glasgow Scotland, and the
late Patrick Clark.
Ann was born in Glasgow, Scotland, where she lived and worked at
various positions from a receptionist to a sales associate at British
Home Stores (BHS) and Stonegettes Hospital. At the age of 33, she
immigrated to Canada with Robert and her two children (Robert Jr. and
Kimberley). Shortly after arriving to Canada the family welcomed their
third child (Ashley). While in Hampton, Ann followed her passion and
enrolled in a nursing assistant training program. Upon completion, she
fulfilled her dream of working with the elderly, spending parts of her
work career at local nursing homes (Ossekeag Manor, Yvonne’s
Special Care Home and Marysview Special Care Home). When not working,
Ann had a love of family time, cheering on her kids at their various
activities all around Atlantic Canada. Along with her strong devotion
to her family, she also loved her cups of tea or French vanilla
cappuccino, Coronation Street, sunbathing, travelling along with never
being without her big hoop earnings and red lipstick!
Ann is survived by her husband Robert Mather of Hampton, NB, her
mother Margaret (Wood) Clark of Glasgow, Scotland, her son Robert
Mather Jr. (Breanne) of Quispamsis, NB, her two daughters Kimberley
Long (Mike) of Bloomfield, NB and Ashley Mather (Dan Dupuis) of Saint
John, NB, four grandchildren, Halle and Sutton Mather & Hunter
and Lauren Long, brother Patrick Clark (Joan) & sister Esther
Wilson (Edward), along with several nieces, nephews and other
family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home
(506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will
be held on Friday, January 10, 2020, from 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM followed
