It is with profound sadness and the deepest of sorrow we announce the passing of Ann Marie Antolcic on July 28, 2020 in her 71st year. Ann passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side and has ascended to her rightful place with the angels in heaven.
Ann’s greatest love was her family. She is survived by her mother Mara Staresina, her husband of 52 years Frank and their four children Nancy (Robert), Sheri (Mario), Frank Jr. (Denise), Susie (Erkan). She was pre-deceased by her father Ivan Staresina.
Ann’s grandchildren Matthew, Nicholas, Michael, Chiara, Gabriella, Leila, Zach, Joey and Aiden were her pride and joy and the light of her life. Her spirit will live on in their hearts forever.
Ann was the dear sister of Steve Staresina (Claudette) and Marilyn Kalic (the late Ante Kalic). She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends in BC and Ontario.
Ann was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She welcomed everyone into her home with a generous and open heart. She enjoyed hosting meals for family and friends and took a genuine interest in all who entered her life. Many would often seek her advice and considered her their “second mom.” The love she radiated and life lessons she shared will be her legacy.
The support Ann received from her family and friends during her final months warmed her heart. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who teamed up with the family to care for her. A special thank you to her “angel nurse” Megan for providing love and comfort in a way no one else could.
On Wednesday, August 5th our family will come together for a private funeral service which will be by invitation only.
