Anita Aho, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on September 18, 2020, one month after celebrating her 60th birthday. Survived by her loving partner of more than 30 years, John Grieve. Cherished mother of Joe Lopes (Jennifer Moody), Dan Grieve (Amie Grieve), Wil Aho (Sarah Seguin), Lee Grieve (Kaitlyn Dick), Darren Bruner and Mark Grieve. Adored Oma of Chloe, Daniella, Amber, Brayden, Zachary, Erika, Owen, Zander, Jackson, Willow, Carter, and Aubree; and great granddaughter Aria. Beloved sister of Ed Horne (Sandra Horne), Nancy Chapman (Bob Chapman), Nina Aho. Anita also leaves behind her sister and brother in laws, Gail Grieve (Jerry Beaudoin), Lynn Rock (Roger Rock), Nancy Hickmott (Fred Hickmott), Ed Grieve (Theresa Grieve), Maryanne Bellefeuille, Dennis Grieve, Phillip Grieve and Brian Grieve (Sylvianne Grieve); several nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Lorne, and Joyce Horne; and one brother, Tim Blackford.
A private family celebration of Anita’s life will take place at Greenhill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville.
If you wish, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.
