Obituary
Andrew “Sonny” Van De Sype, late of Radville, SK passed away August 10, 2020 at the age of 77 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Oscar Van De Sype; his mother Felicia DeVreese, step-father Prudent DeVreese; his brother Leon Van De Sype (Jeanette); nephew Russell Van De Sype; and his brother-in-law Gary Grosenick.
Sonny is survived by his wife of 54 years, Faye Van De Sype; his children: Bryan (Lisa) Van De Sype; Corrine (Robert) Galarneau; grandchildren: Victoria, Andrew, John, and Rachel Van De Sype, Jade, Lee, Reis Galarneau; his sister Ann Grosenick; niece Juanita Van De Sype; nephews: Dave Van De Sype, Keith Grosenick (Lorna Lillejord) and their daughter Janessa, Greg (Melanie) Grosenick; along with many other relatives and close friends.
“Sonny is remembered for his pioneering spirit, respect and love for mother nature, Sonny’s Plumbing and Heating for 43 years, hobby farmer, refurbishing vintage JD tractors, perseverance, attention to detail, cribbage and billiards, mechanical aptitude, keeping in touch with friends and family, tremendous work ethic, go-to-guy, strength and dependability to those he loved. He is deeply missed.”
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Laurier Cemetery, Radville, SK. Pallbearers are all Sonny’s grandchildren.
