Andrew’s Obituary
CROWELL, Andrew Lee – It is with broken hearts, the family of Andrew Lee Crowell, announces his sudden, but peaceful passing on July 29, 2020 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary with family by his side. Born June 24, 1963, he was the son of Ruthie Crowell and the late Donald Crowell. Andrew started his fishing career at the young age of 15. He loved the water, it was in his veins. Anyone who ever shared a fishing trip with Andrew knows what a good, hard worker he was. He easily made friends and had many. He was a Jack of All Trades. He could do just about anything he set his mind to. Andrew had a very tender and giving heart. He shared everything he had with anyone who wanted or needed it. No questions asked, and no repayment expected. Even as a little boy, he would go to Uncle Freeland’s shop, or Mr. Browns, and come home with bags of candy to share with all his siblings. It was something he carried on as an adult which Courtney and Mikaela will happily attest to. He was loyal, funny, stubborn, free spirited and good hearted and a very lively and entertaining story teller. He loved his family and friends dearly and loyally. He loved going wheeling and spending time at camp with his faithful, furry sidekick, Cash. He will be lovingly remembered by all who truly knew him. He is survived by his mother, Ruthie Crowell of Bear Point; grandparents, Don & Ruth Crowell; daughters, Deanna and Chrissy; grandson, Caden; brother, Monty (Claire); sisters, Etta and Donna; brother, Kenny (Holly); Uncle, Roger ( Libby); Aunt, Sharon ( Russell); step-sisters, Theresa and Mildred; loving partner, Holly Symonds; step-children, Joseph (Emily) & Robin; step grandchildren, Darious, Nijah, Laveah, Declan & Molly; nephews, Greg, Zachary, Jordan, Tony and Brandon and niece, Sara. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Crowell and infant niece Marina. We love you Andrew, ….. Ova … Special thank you to the Ambulance Attendants, Doctors and nurses of Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Life Flight and QEII for their amazing efforts and compassion. As per his wishes there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington.
