1950-2020
Andrew J. Stannix of McAdam, NB passed way on April 20, 2020 at the
Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Andrew was born on October 16, 1950 at
Harvey Station, NB, a son of the late Roy and Nancy (Cousins)
Stannix.
Andrew worked for 25 years with the Department of Fisheries and Ocean.
His favourite place was his cottage at Magaguadavic Lake, where he
could listen for the loons while watching the sunsets. Andrew enjoyed
time with his grandchildren, teaching them the finer points of
gardening, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda (McGee) Stannix; his daughter,
Trudy Walsh (Johnny); two grandchildren, MacKenzie Walsh (Sam) and
Wyatt Walsh (Ashly); a brother, Barry Stannix (Jan), ON; a
sister-in-law, Deb McLellan (Jim); two brothers-in-law, Mark McGee
(Laura) and Ken McGee; several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current health crisis, there will be no visitation or
services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at later
date and an announcement will be posted at that time.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Andrew, the family
has suggested the SPCA.
