Andrée McDonald died, surrounded by her family, at The Credit Valley Hospital, in Mississauga, Ontario, Monday, November 30, 2020, at the age of 48. She was born February 13, 1972 in Ottawa, Ontario. Beloved wife of Louis-Justin Bessette. Loving mother of Justin and Charles Bessette and Alexander Racanelli. Beloved daughter of Louise (née Lalonde) and Roderick McDonald, Dear stepsister of Mai Nguyen. Treasured niece of Diane and Linda McDonald, the late Bruce McDonald, and Judith (née McDonald) and Donald Blackadder. Special cousin to Shoana (née Blackadder) McGuinness and Adam and Rory Blackadder. Granddaughter of the late Lucille (née Lalonde) and Léopold Lalonde, and the late Marion (née McCulloch), and Hughie McDonald. Dear daughter-in-law of Marcelle (née Paulin) Bessette, and sister in-law of Stéphanie Bessette and Daniel Pellerin, and Pascale Bessette and Jean Novak. Andrée will be fondly remembered by her former colleagues at Red Hat. At the request of the family, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral, Alexandria, Ontario. Interment at St. Finnan’s Parish Cemetery. Andre, Jan and I were talking today and I asked if they had been in touch with both of you. I’ve been wondering how to contact you for a number of years. Andre did a google search and found Andree’s obituary. I am so deeply sorry to read this sad and tragic news. I remember Andre with great fondness. Aunt Lucille would show us photos, when Mom and I would visit. She was a proud grandmother. Sending you deepest condolences and love. I hope to see both of you some time in the future.
