Obituary of Amy Winnifried Butler
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Amy Butler of Baine Harbour, NL announces her peacefully passing on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank, NL at the age of 89 years.
Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories son Robert (Lorraine) Baine Harbour, daughters Margaret King (Wallace) Brookside, Eileen Clarke (George) Brooks, AB, Velma Hather England, Julie Kenway (Randy) Baine Harbour, 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, brothers Austin Smith (Viola), & Clarence Smith , daughter-in-law Gladys Butler Grand Bank plus a large circle of other family & friends.
Predeceased by parents John and Caroline Smith, husband William, son Woodrow, grandson Cory Kenway, sisters Eileen King, brother Scott Smith, Alice Butler, sons -in-law Thomas King & David Hather.
Following government legislation due to the current pandemic, a private visitation will take place at Serenity Funeral Home, 95 Main Street, Burin, followed by a private funeral service from Serenity Memorial Chapel, Burin. Interment to be held in the United Cemetery, Baine Harbour.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the United Cemetery Fund, Baine Harbour.
Amy was the rock of the Butler family. She will always be remembered & loved by her family.
