1925-2020
The passing of Amy Louise (Coffill) Spencer, wife of the late Claude
LeMont Spencer, occurred at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB on
November 20, 2020. Born in Parrsboro NS on April 2, 1925, she was the
daughter of the late Alden and Amy (Crowell) Coffill. A loving mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister,
Amy is survived by one daughter: Claudena Spencer of Bayside NB;
grandchildren: Cathy Muise and Nelson (Barb) Muise; three
great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers:
Alden Coffill of Ontario and Roland (Joan) Coffill of Prince Edward
Island; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her
parents and husband, Amy was predeceased by two sisters.
Prior to retirement, Amy and Claude were the owners and operators of
Spencer’s Welding Shop and General Store in Pennfield. She enjoying
knitting, doing puzzles and attending auctions with Claude when they
were able.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. There will be no visiting or funeral
service. Interment will take place at the St. George Rural Cemetery at
a later date. In Amy’s memory, donations to your local Food Bank or
SPCA would be greatly appreciated by the family.
