POOLE, Alta May (Kennedy)
Peacefully at Dundas Manor Long-Term Care Home in Winchester, on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Howard Poole. Loving mother of Douglas (Jose) of Vernon, Marlene (William Shepheard) of Carlsbad Springs, and Linda (Jack Yourt) of Winchester. Alta will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Wendy (Peter Chen) and David Poole; Jonathan (Jen McMullan), Matthew, and Elizabeth Shepheard (James Ramsay); Sean Patterson (Heather Ferguson) and Anne Yourt (Robin Dwarka) and nine great-grandchildren, Matthew, Amelia, Summer, Jackson, Scarlett, Fiona, Malcolm, Olivia, and Marlo. Daughter of the late Clarence and Pearl Kennedy (nee Acres). Sister of the late Harold (Thelma), Donald (Patricia), Gordon (Evelyn), Howard (Doris), John (Marjorie), Christina (Scott Cameron), Mabel (Earl Delorme), Edith (Jack Eustice). Survived by sister-in-law Marjorie. The family is grateful to the staff of Dundas Manor for their loving care of Alta in her final years with them, and to Dr. Merrett for his ongoing care. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. on Saturday December 5 from 10-11 am. Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 11 am. Inurnment Maple Ridge Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Alta to Dundas Manor Activity Fund, 533 Clarence St. Winchester, ON K0C 2K0 would be greatly appreciated. Please be advised that Covid-19 precautions are still in effect; we respectfully request that attendees wear a mask and that 6 feet of physical distancing measures be observed inside and outside of the funeral home.
