Allan Nazar 1934 2020

Obituary of Allan Nazar
Dad passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at St. Boniface Hospital, Wpg, MB., at the age of 85.
Allan was born and raised in Prawda, Manitoba. He married Irene (nee Huczel) on October 26, 1957. They lived together on the family farm on the Birch River for 63 years. Allan was predeceased by his parents Sam Nazar (1984) and Katie (nee Turchyn) (1998) brother Mike (2013) and sister Marie Gagawchuk (2017).
Left to cherish his memory are his four children: Angela (Joe Gensiorek), Darlene (Bill Oyler), Sandra (Al Fisher) and Jason (Darlene Proceviat); six grandchildren: Dale Obodzinski (Jody), Darcy Nazar (Melissa), Andrew Oyler, Gillian Oyler, Matthew Nazar and Devon Nazar; three great-grandchildren Keenan Flamand, Kendra Flamand, and Brennley Nazar. He will also be dearly missed by his auntie Jean Bilan as well as the many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dad worked many jobs in his early days but loved his career with the City of Winnipeg, Greater Winnipeg Water District (GWWD). He loved working outdoors and made many friends at Shoal Lake (on the Manitoba-Ontario border) and co-workers along the rail. He retired in 1996. Dad loved having large family dinners and always made sure there were treats for the grandkids and many fun things to do outdoors. He was a jokester to the end and we will always remember him for his one-line zingers.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital for the care and kindness during his stay.
