Allan D.C. MacCallum
1932-2020
Allan D.C. MacCallum, 87, of Monarch
Hall, Riverview, and formerly of Northwood Road, Moncton, passed away
peacefully at his residence on Friday, January 24, 2020. Born in
Moncton, he was the son of the late Charles and Luretta (Harrop)
MacCallum.
Allan retired from the CNR as a
carman, and First Aid Supervisor for the Atlantic Region with over 26
dedicated years of service, he was a long-time member and board member
of the Moncton Wesleyan Church, where he was involved in the
Men’s Ministry, Prison Ministry, Sunday School and Small
Groups. He was a volunteer Fire Fighter, a Captain with the St. John
Ambulance Brigade, and a board member with Omista Credit
Union.
Allan will be sadly missed by his
loving wife of 60 years, J. Kathleen “Kay” MacCallum;
daughters, Marlene MacInnis (late Terry) and Valerie “Val”
Closs (Rick); grandchildren, Josie, Lindsay, Ben, Jordan and Dakota;
great-grandchildren, Jack Allan and Charlotte Jo; brother, George
MacCallum (Eileen); as well as several nieces, nephews and extended
family members.
In addition to his parents, Allan was
predeceased by his son, Blake; and siblings, Maryellen, Lois,
Alexander, Archibald, Esther, Malcolm, Lucy, Joel and
Neil.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home,
1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00
pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Allan’s life will be
held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 11:00 am from the Moncton
Wesleyan Church Life Center (945 St. George St), reception following
the service in the church atrium. Interment will be held at Fair Haven
Memorial Gardens.

memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online
