With incredible grace Alicia Ruiz de Reyes passed away peacefully on Thursday March 5th 2020. Surrounded by loved ones, she joined her late husband Eduardo Reyes. She was an extraordinary mother to Aurora (Fernando), Eduardo (Mary Ann), Ricardo (Angela) and Cecilia (Paul). She was cherished by her grandchildren Andres, Ana Maria (Andrew), Monica (Alex), Mariana (Ben), Eduardo, Roberto, Daniela, Juliana, Sophia, Camila, and Alejandro. Her legacy lives on with her great grandchildren Austin, Aria, Aliya, Emma and the many more to come. A dear friend to many in Canada and Colombia. Alicia lived her long and happy life courageously, putting the care of her four children first. As a critical activist in the widower’s pension program, her efforts positively impacted many generations to come. She led by example and taught others how to be kinder, compassionate, patient, strong, and joyous. She will be missed dearly.
