Obituary of Alice Joyce Searle
With great sadness we announce the passing of Alice Joyce Searle on June 23rd, 2020 at the age of 93.
Alice was born April 3, 1927 to Wilmot and Maude Swann in Kimberley, B.C., and was the youngest of 6 children. Over the years Alice enjoyed bowling and card games, as well as watching game shows and sports on TV, especially the Vancouver Canucks.
She was awarded a Life Membership Award for 30 years of Active Service with the #222 Union Ladies Auxiliary. Alice loved living in Kimberley and thought there was no better place to be, especially with all the Wildlife around.
She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd in 1976, both her parents and siblings, as well as her Grandson, Shae, in 2000.
Alice is survived by her children Geoff (Doreen), Fred (Kathy), Laurie (Hans), Brian and Tom (Lisa). As well as 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Garden View and the Kimberley Special Care Home “The Pines” and Dr. Van Zyl for the wonderful and compassionate care she received.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at the Kimberley Cemetery.
