RISLING, Alice
It is with great sadness that the family of Alice Risling announces her passing on November 8, 2020. Alice’s great love for her family and generous spirit will be fondly remembered by those she leaves behind; her daughters Diane (Greg Hrabok), Karen (Mark Nogier), grandchildren Alysia (Ross), Brennan, Corey, Anthony, Donovan, Todd, Jarred (Janine), Amanda (JR), great-grandchildren Aleksander, Natalia and Greyson, Christian and Justin, great-great-grandchild Orion, sisters-in-law Marilyn and Helen, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Alice was predeceased by her loving husband Frank, parents Dmytro and Anastasia, brother Michael and sisters Shirley and Ann. Family was important to Mom. Special occasions or holidays was a time for her to bring everyone together to celebrate as a family. Mom was the center of our family. Alice’s incredible heart and generosity were open to everyone she met. Her career in the fields of education and healthcare allowed her to devote herself to the care of others. After 30 years working at St. Paul’s Hospital as a Nurse Manager of Urology, Medicine and finally Orthopedics, Alice was elected as a Trustee for Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Board. Alice’s altruism made her a real life angel. Her free time was spent volunteering with many charitable organizations, encouraging and guiding all she could. Today God welcomes a new angel into his fold. A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2020.
