Daughter of Stefan and Emily Majcher. Alice was born in Montreal and grew up in Oshawa. She later moved to Toronto to live with her older sister Anne and there met Joseph James McDonald, solicitor, now deceased and had 4 children in 33 months, including a set of twins.
Our mother, Alice was an avid gardener, passionate artist who loved to paint, accomplished Real Estate Agent with the Toronto Real Estate Board for over 40 years. Mom loved freshly cut grass, hydrangeas and reading.
Her family was her world and she loved our large family gatherings where she was always the centre of attention and thrilled to make her famous mac & cheese. Her true passion was her children, whom she placed above all else. Mom will be forever in our hearts.
Special thanks to the staff at Richview Manor and Dr. Paul Randall, her physician of 46 yrs, as well as Dr. R. Lilani her Palliative Care specialist from MacKenzie Health.
Private family visitation and prayer service was held at Armstrong Funeral Home in Oshawa.
Burial beside her parents to follow at a later date at St. Gregory Cemetery.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
