Alfred Arseneault
1935-2020
SAINT-IGNACE, NB – Alfred Arseneault 85, of St. Ignace passed
away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac on Wednesday,
November 4, 2020. Born in Rosaireville, he was the son of
the late Emmanuel Arseneault and late Anna (Losier)
Arseneault. Before retiring, Alfred was a
carpenter.
Alfred will be sadly missed by his special friend, Louise
Cormier of Dieppe; the mother of his children, Helena (Gallant)
Arseneault; five daughters, Bernice Richard (Daniel) of Irishtown,
Geraldine Arseneault (Edouard) of Lakeville,
Thérèse Babineau (Paul) of St. Charles, Lucille
Arseneault (Scott) of Porters Lake, NS, Andréa Downing
(Ronnie) of Grande-Digue; nine grandchildren, Line, Stephanie, Lise,
Mathieu, Annie, Julie, Jesse, Jason, Justin and seven great
grandchildren.
He is also survived by one sister, Maria Thebeau (late Dolor)
of Rogersville; two brothers, Lucien Arseneault (Anna) of Red Bank,
Romeo Arseneault (Gloria) of Dieppe; two sisters-in-law,
Thérèse Arseneault of Rogersville, Margaret
Arseneault of Saint John; brother-in-law, Joseph Desylva of Saint John
and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters,
infant Alfreda, Thérèse, Lucie; three brothers,
Leonard, Albert, Alphonse and son-in-law,
Vincent.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home in
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Wednesday from 9:00 am until departure for the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday,
November 11, 2020 at the St. Ignace de Loyola Roman Catholic Church in
St. Ignace.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, masks are required at the
visitation and at the church at all times. We ask that you
please social distance.
